I have ridden past Spoke and Art many times, but have always been focused on completing my workout. I made a decision on my most recent ride on the Cap Trail to finish my workout at this store/restaurant. What an experience! Great food (I had the chicken salad wrap), people, and service. Ice water and cups for cyclists and hikers. Friendly staff. Check it out!!

Fresh homemade food made with love and care! You can taste it in every bite! I had the curried chicken salad/with greens on a baguette, and added tomato & cheese (extra charge). So yummy! Curry wasn't too strong. I had an everything cookie which was heavenly! The coffee was delicious, and I am a coffee expert. Lol! Sandwiches are a little overpriced, but the bread is excellent quality, and again the food is homemade. The cookie and coffee were fair priced. Sophie was the cashier/server. She was so patient, knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. There is limited indoor seating, but plenty of outdoor seating. What a beautiful view to enjoy while you dine!

wonderful, friendly staff and owner - amazing gathering place with open and covered decks, indoor seating and picnic/bistro tables on the lawn in front of the music stage. Delicious sandwiches, best homemade pimento cheese ever (recommended by local cyclist Jack, who called it “legendary”), great coffee, rented Specialized hybrid bikes for the 50 miles of well maintained Virginia Capital Trail, located right next to S A at MM 2.5.

Really enjoyed this place on a recent visit. My wife's broccoli salad was delicious -- had to come back the next day for more. My daughter enjoyed the big drink selection. Lots of outdoor seating. Menu was full of very healthy options. GF preferences were easily accommodated. My son said, "Love the roast beef and swiss sammich, best ever!" I was most impressed by the rainwater catchment system. We will definitely come back the next time we are in the area, visiting from North Carolina.
